Position Insights & Objectives To support all electrical systems and equipment in the plant as well as continuous development and optimization of their usage to ensure the smooth and continuous running of the manufacturing area. Under the direction of the Electrical Co-ordinator, service the requirements of themanufacturing process to assist the plant meet its KPI requirements Installs and maintains high-speed, industrial process equipment for can making, power, lighting, control and PLC logic controls for all production process and control. Troubleshoot, adjusts and repairs all electrical equipment, components, transducers, and complex timing and inspection devices. Performs preventative maintenance on assigned electrical systems. Diagnose causes of malfunctions and corrects throughprogrammable logic controls. Ensures effective equipment operation through proper line control programming and proactively suggest methods to improve line performance. Installs and troubleshoots facility power distribution and lighting services. Updates wiring schematics and computer / PLC program printouts. Supplies and maintains required hand tools. Maintains daily log-books and records where applicable. Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information from the computer systems. Determines all supplies needed for each assignment. Performs clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties as and when required or instructed. Initiates, reviews, and follows all standard operating procedures for your area of responsibility. Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment. Maintains awareness and complies with hazardous waste management and other environmental management requirements in the workplace by attending scheduled trainingsessions. Adheres to all company practices and procedures with regards to waste management and health & safety. Understands, completes, and maintains environmental documentation for which the individual is trained or is directed(i.e., inspections, labelling, record keeping, maintenance of equipment, etc.) Assures and maintains safe working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations with regards to the relevant regulations. Performs such individual assignments / projectsas management may direct. Adherence with Ardagh policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct Professional Experience and Attributes Competent ability to wire, assemble and layout electrical/electronic systems in an extremely neat and professional manner and conform to compliant wiring specifications. Demonstrate working knowledge of wiring schematics and computer program printouts and ability to update as necessary Enthusiastic, proactive, can do attitude Demonstrate effective, communication, organisational and influencing skills. Analytical skills to interpret numerical data Working knowledge of Health and Safety work practices Experience of working manufacturing background in a high speed, high volume continuous process Ability to use hand and power tools, electronic test equipment. The ability and willingness to assist with breakdowns and line conversions & regular TPM/Downtime activities. Can demonstrate the ability to work precisely with strong attentionto detail. A team player with strong problemsolving and analytical skills, with the ability to work aloneunder their own initiative. The ability to work well under pressure and organiseand prioritise theirown workload whilstmaintaining records. Maintains technical knowledgeby attending trainingcourses as and when required Flexibility or willingness to travel Support, coach and train colleagues as required. Education & Location Qualifications Apprenticeship in an Engineering/Mechanical discipline or equivalent experience Relevant electrical engineering qualification Current Electrical certification Location - Rugby
